What is Meta AI?

Meta AI is Meta's official artificial intelligence assistant, operating directly within Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and on meta.ai without requiring any additional app downloads.

The current version runs on the Muse Spark model, launched by Meta's Super Intelligence Lab on 8 April 2026.

Meta AI's purpose is highly practical: helping you find information quickly, understand real trends from social media, create images and videos for free, read and analyse documents, write content, and make plans with friends directly within the chat window.

Unlike chatbots that only browse the web, Meta AI combines web data with real-time signals from Facebook, Instagram and Threads, making its answers more grounded in everyday life rather than just theoretical.

1. Real-world example: Visiting Chiba at the weekend, don't just read blogs

You ask ChatGPT: "10 tourist spots in Chiba". You will receive a list identical to travel blogs: Klook, japanbiz.vn, tourdulichnhatban.top...

You ask Meta AI the same question, and the result will have two layers:

2. Real posts - from people currently in Japan

Meta AI takes your profile picture from Instagram, blends it in, and returns the image instantly. No Photoshop needed, no usage limits like DALL-E.

Want a video? "Make a 5-second birthday greeting video for my mother, Vietnamese voice, cherry blossom background." You get an mp4 file ready to send to the family group on WhatsApp.
